Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon seems to be accompanied by some lively moments outside of it. Despite his claim of giving up alcohol for peak performance, he was spotted partying at his Dublin bar, The Black Forge, with fiancee Dee Devlin.
Videos surfaced showing him behind the DJ booth, holding a bottle of whiskey, and even a flare being set off nearby.
It’s quite the contrast to his earlier pledge to abstain from drinking as he prepared for his comeback fight against Michael Chandler on June 30.
He said:
“Once I get the leg cleared and I get that feeling when I kick a body, step back in and out, then I’ll be able to gauge time.
“Then I’m going to isolate myself, stay away from the pub, stay away from my Forged Irish stout, my delicious smooth Proper 12 Irish whiskey and dedicate myself to my craft 100 per cent ‘I’ll give it a month or two of that and see how everything goes and then make the move [for a comeback].”
