Classroom of the Elite is an exciting story about a top-notch school called Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School. It’s a special school where only the brightest and most talented students are chosen.
The school is on a fancy island where students have everything they could ever want. They only get in if they show they’re really good at academics and other activities.
Surviving at this high school guarantees students a 100% chance of getting into their desired university. Additionally, it significantly boosts their prospects of attaining a high-paying job in the future.
The story kicks off with Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, a typical tsundere character who joins the school with one goal in mind – to stay under the radar. Kiyotaka fits all the anime stereotypes of a good-looking male lead with a mysterious vibe.
At first sight, viewers might see nothing remarkable about Kiyotaka’s unexciting personality. He intentionally placed himself in the lowest-ranked class. In this school, students have to climb the ladder no matter what.
They can even try to bring down other students in class to earn award points, which are like money on the island.
Classroom of the Elite brilliantly brings its cut-throat theme to life with captivating characters that drive the plot forward. Seasons 1 and 2 delve into the different challenges the students face to earn points.
All the plotting, backstabbing, deceit, and strategizing will keep viewers hooked because it’s hard to figure out who’s really behind it all.
When one episode leaves you hanging, it might take a couple more episodes before everything starts to make sense.
In Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 9, Mr. Ayanokouji had replaced the chairman of ANHS with one of his accomplices, Tsukishiro, who was set to become active starting in April.
Tsukishiro was there to ensure that the White Room prodigy was removed from the school program. However, as Chairman Sakayanagi revealed during her meeting with Mr. Ayanokouji.
A student could only leave if they chose to or if they were expelled. With Tsukishiro working hard to get Kiyotaka expelled, the latter had to start planning his next move.
Recap
The whole class was really sad when Yamauchi got kicked out, but Kiyotaka went to see Sakayanagi. She told him something surprising that she got her classmates to support him with their votes.
But then, out of nowhere, Tsukishiro, the acting chairman of ANHS, showed up and interrupted their talk. Out of nowhere, Tsukishiro kicked Arisu’s cane, making her fall, and then he pushed Kiyotaka against the wall.
He said he was sent by Mr. Ayanokouji and announced that he would be the new active chairman of ANHS from April. He even hinted that he would make sure Kiyotaka gets expelled.
After Tsukishiro left, Kiyotaka said to Arisu that they should complete their challenge before the new chairman took over. In class, Chibashira talked about the Event Selection Exam, which was like the Paper Shuffle Test.
Chibashira also said that the exam’s penalty could result in the leader getting expelled. Kiyotaka decided to be the leader and planned the exam with Ishizaki’s help. They set it up so that Class 1-C would compete against Class 1-A.
Hirata was still upset about the last exam and wasn’t interested in the new test. Later that night, Karuizawa visited Kiyotaka in his room and got an expensive gift from him for her birthday. The next day, Kiyotaka found out that Class 1-A picked chess as the first subject for the exam.
Expectation
In Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 10, Kiyotaka and Arisu will face off in the first round of chess, where their skills will be tested.
The episode will also show Kiyotaka getting ready for what happens after the exam, as his father has arranged for him to be expelled from ANHS. The Event Selection Exam is the last test, marking the end of the 1st-Year arc.
