In the events of last episode, Gholl and Uliminas discover that Yuigarde has become the new Dark One and return to the castle to confront him. The Infernal Four join Uliminas in opposing Yuigarde’s ascension to the throne, but their efforts to stop him are futile.
Gholl intervenes to save Uliminas from harm. Displeased with Yuigarde’s handling of the Dark Army, Gholl surprises everyone by voluntarily stepping down and allowing his brother to assume the throne. Yuigarde initially takes this as a joke and attempts to attack Gholl but is swiftly defeated.
Gholl and Uliminas request to stay at Filo’s place, to which he agrees. Despite initial discomfort, Balirossa eventually warms up to Gholl after discussions with Filo and Rys. Meanwhile, the Blonde Hero and his slave manage to escape.
