Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 16 release date is what makes the fans most excited about the release after Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 15 rocked us on the 1st of March 2023. The series really has been showing us a rollercoaster of emotions for a few weeks and now has gone off on a hiatus. Yes, the entire Chicago franchise seems to be on a break right now but they sure did manage to hook us off with the latest episode so we will be wondering about more content constantly.
Back in Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 15 titled Those Times You Have to Cross The Line, we saw that David Sullivan is in trouble and he is again seen in the Emergency Department. Things were obviously going downhill after we saw this season start with him having a schizoaffective disorder although his parents refused to believe that it was true. Thus, they did not even get him some psychiatric help in order to cope and deal with the problem.
But well, the last time we saw him in the 15th episode, it was revealed that he already was on some meds but had another episode. I mean, even his parents were supporting him this time and this was a new behavior even for them. Turns out that Cuevas said that he has treated David before a few times. This could only possibly indicate the fact that after episode 1, the family has come to the ED several times and finally accepted that their son had some issues.

The episode also made us worry about David and question if he was a suicidal kid or not. He said he was already dead. Maybe this was his mental illness acting up but what it was not? There was only one psychiatric doctor in the hospital at that moment that was Hannah. She was obviously not ready to treat patients with schizoaffective disorder and thus, paged in Cuevas to be at the hospital as soon as possible.
Cuevas is more than qualified to take on this role and perform the job well. David’s parents have been ignorant in the past and thus, the way Charles dealt with them was actually great. He was also great while dealing with him. It is obvious that if tell a psychiatric patients about reality and how what they are feeling is wrong, it gets worse for them. The patients get agitated and irritable which is worse for their mental health.
Cuevas was not always aware of this and thus, Charles tries to explain it all to her earlier this season. It is great that she has learned the basics and is now using the same to work with David and his condition. The doctors had to use metaphors and other illogical examples which somehow made sense to David so that they can crack the code of how his mentality works and save him from any further harm.
As in David’s case, the doctors decided to play along believing that yes he is dead. And they also got him to have an ECT so that he can resurrect himself. Had they barged in and said that the ECT was for his delusions, he would have never agreed to the treatment.
