In a TikTok clip, Puth gave fans a sneak peek of “Hero,” a song he wrote about a friend, admitting he sometimes hesitates to be completely honest in his music.
However, he felt compelled to share this track, which had been sitting on his hard drive for a while, indicating it was time for its release. The single is set to drop on May 24th as the lead track from his upcoming album.
Swift’s nod to Puth in the title track of her album sparked excitement among fans, with many speculating about the references to her reported fling with The 1975’s Matty Healy in 2023.
Puth initially reacted to Swift’s mention with a post on social media, expressing his astonishment and gratitude for the love shown towards her album. Swift, in turn, celebrated the album’s success and expressed her excitement for her upcoming tour.
