The Met Gala’s steamy gossip is the talk of the town lately. When everyone’s showcasing their look on the red carpet with stunning outfits, how can we forget about Cardi B? She never forgets to steal Met Gala’s glamorous steps, and this 2023 event was also no such exception.
Cardi B is known for her enormous and dramatic looks, whether it be a 2022’s glimmering golden gown or a 2019’s red flared gown. Unlike other celebrities, Cardi B walked the red carpet with not one outfit but three. She never fails to bring things out of the box.
On the spellbinding steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the celebs were wrapped up according to the year’s theme, “In honor of Karl,” which honors the legacy of Karl Lagerfeld, the late great designer and founder of Chanel, Cardi B made a pose. The singer and rapper were seen dolled up in the camellia flower, which is a symbol of the House of Chanel, just like the double-C logo.
Since the 1920’s Chanel’s favorite flowers have appeared on the bags, jewelry, and fabrics of the brand, the extravagant fashion event was adorned with celebrities from all around the globe. But, if anyone knows how to mark the event with a major statement look, then sure, it’s Cardi B. The rapper arrived at the Met Gala event dressed up in Karl’s signature look, suit, and tie but in a more feminine style.

As for the third outfit Cardi B went for the signature tweed fabric of the House of Chanel. She wore a glamorous black and pink houndstooth bodycon dress with a dropping neckline. The glittering gemstone ran all over the bodice and around the hem of the gown. A Pearl necklace and a silver chain with a cross pendant enhanced her décolletage and made her look sizzling.
Cardi B’s other astonishing Met Gala looks
Cardi B is a very bold and eye-catching fashionista who does a lot of experiments with her looks, and every one of them goes just right on her.
Everyone always wants to see what Cardi B brings to the red carpet. In the 2022 event, she made quite a statement where the theme was “Gilded Glamour,” bringing in all the gold and glitter into her dress. She arrived on the carpet in an Atelier Versace gown featuring gold chains- running throughout her dress, neck, and arms.
Before 2022 Cardi B appeared last in the 2019 Met Gala event, where she wore a custom oxblood Thom Browne gown that featured a large flare behind that extended outward concentric circles. According to Vogue, the gown Cardi B wore at the 2019 Met Gala was made from tulle and silk organza. It took 35 people to make it and two thousand hours to create, and approximately three thousand feathers to embellish the gown’s outer area.
Although the music business can be competitive, Cardi B does not compare herself to other artists; she carries her own strong-as-hell aura. She is carried by her self-assurance and self-belief everywhere she goes, including the Met Gala red carpet. She says she is different and so always be herself. She is unaffected by how others look, and she knows she is going to ‘get her coins.’ Cardi B is a show-stopper, and the people know that.
