In Los Angeles, the residence of famed model and actor Cara Delevingne was consumed by flames, resulting in complete destruction.
Nicholas Prange, representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department, disclosed that one firefighter was hospitalized in fair condition due to unspecified injuries, while another individual sustained minor smoke inhalation.
Amid her current role in “Cabaret” on London’s West End, Delevingne addressed the incident on Instagram following a report linking the burning house in Studio City to her. Thankfully, she was not present during the fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered intense flames at the rear of the two-story house, resulting in the destruction of a room and spreading to the attic.
After ensuring the safety of all occupants, firefighters implemented a defensive approach as the roof collapsed. The extinguishing efforts lasted over two hours.
In a subsequent Instagram post, Delevingne expressed gratitude to the firefighters and all who offered assistance. She also shared her heartbreak over the incident, particularly regarding her two cats, although she later confirmed their safety.
The residence, featured in a 2021 Architectural Digest profile, boasted whimsical features such as a costume room, a David Bowie-themed bathroom, poker and billiard rooms, and even a ball pit.
Cara Delevingne had previously shared her affection for the ball pit, considering it a remedy for a bad day.
British-born at 31, Delevingne rose to fame as a fashion model in the early 2010s, later venturing into acting. Notable film roles include “Suicide Squad” (2016) and “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” (2017).
She also starred in TV series like Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” (2022) and FX’s “American Horror Story” (2023).
