Tsubasa went to watch his team members’ match against Toho Academy in the previous episode. Viewers are excited to find out if Tsubasa will make it into the lineup for the European tour of Captain Tsubasa Season 2 Episode 2.
The fierce grand final match between Nankatsu and Toho in the national middle school football tournament was over. Both teams were declared winners in the tournament’s history.
The eternal rivals Tsubasa Oozora and Kojirou Hyuuga, along with the other selected members, were entering the world’s next battlefield.
Karl Heinz Schneider went to meet Wakabayashi, as he was officially transferred to Munich. Everyone was surprised that Karl was leaving Hamburg for Munich.
The other players could not believe that he was making such a rash decision. Karl had been trained in Hamburg ever since he started playing football.
They considered it a betrayal of Hamburg, but Karl did not take it that way. He believed that his decision to join Munich was best for him since they valued his strength more.
Karl had only one aim, which was to become the world’s number one player, so it did not matter which team he joined; his aim was always going to remain the same.
Wakabayashi also shared the same goal as Karl. The two of them decided to go for a showdown together before his departure.
Wakabayashi was the gifted goalkeeper, so everyone was wondering if he would be able to break through the goal in the final duel.
Captain Tsubasa Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
The Japanese National Junior Team was already on the third day of the training camp, and everyone was prepared for the international junior youth tournament in France.
Their main goal was to acquire the football powerhouse of the world. They were at the stage of deciding the regular members for each position.
Coach Misugi was going to make the ultimate decision about the positions after assessing the team. Misugi realized that their team was a mix of good players however, he sensed that something was missing from their team.
It was Tsubasa, and Misugi assessed that if they could add him to the team, he could be a playmaker as well as score goals for their team.
They were going to become an incredibly strong team with Tsubasa. But while Tsubasa was still recovering from his injuries back at home, there was no certainty that he would be able to join the European tour.
Meanwhile, Tsubasa was studying with Carlos, but he was having a hard time keeping up. But Carlos reminded him that once his injury was healed, he would go back to playing football.
So he needed to study as much as he could in the meantime. Ishizaki and his other teammates sent a video to Tsubasa to cheer him up during his rehabilitation.
Tsubasa realized that everyone was going on the European tour once the training was over. He wanted to go because he wanted to see Misaki and Wakabayashi.
Back in Germany, Karl ended up winning against Wakabayashi after their showdown. Wakabayashi remembered that The Japanese National Junior team was going to have their first match in Germany against Hamburg.
He wanted to show his juniors how much he had grown as a player after training in Germany. Meanwhile, Kumi and others visited Tsubasa at home. They came there to support him during his rehabilitation.
Misugi provided the assessment for the regular positions to the coach. But he mentioned that the success of their lineup depends on Tsubasa’s participation in the match.
