The chapter starts with Kou going to school with Asai. Asai had come to Kou’s house to get him, so they could go together. But Kou played all night, and because of that, he did not wake up early and got them late for school. Kou had gone to school after a long time, so his friends at school greeted him. Kou told Asai that he was nervous about going back to school. Asai told him that he had come back from the School trip.

Later we see Kou inside the classroom thinking about Mahiru. He wondered if he could have stopped Mahiru, but Kou knew there was no point thinking about that, As Mahiru chose to die because he loved Kiku. He thought about how does it feel to love someone that much? Thinking about that made him sleepy, so Kou slept on the bench. When he woke up, Nazuna was sitting next to him. As he was getting sleepy, at that time, he told Nazuna she would never fall in love with him.
