As he issued an apology statement while he stated how he owed it to Sooner Nation to be transparent about what led to this decision as he further explained the entire incident. The former coach revealed how last week, during a film session, he instructed his players to take notes and noticed a player was distracted and picked up his iPad and read aloud the words that were written on his screen as Cale revealed how the words displayed had nothing to do with football.
While shedding light on the issue, the former coach stated how there was this one particular word that he should have never, under any circumstance, uttered was displayed on the screen. However, at that moment, he did not even realize what he was reading, and as soon as he did, he was horrified.
