Buff Bagwell, a popular wrestler from WCW in the 90s, has bounced back from personal struggles to achieve a major milestone. Despite a difficult period in his life, Bagwell recently secured his first championship title in five years.
Wins Tag Team Title After Personal Struggles
Known for his decade with WCW, Bagwell also had a brief run in WWE after WCW closed. Now, at 54 years old, he’s celebrating a championship win once again.
Teaming up with Big John Dalton, Bagwell captured the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championship. Their victory came after defeating Lord Gaston & Sir Matthew in a competitive match.
The last time Bagwell held a championship was in 2018 when he won the Mayhem Heavyweight title. This recent win is a significant comeback, especially considering major surgery Bagwell underwent earlier this year.
Fans are happy to see Bagwell back in good health and competing at a high level. It will be interesting to see how he’s used as a champion in the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team division in the coming months.
