The chapter starts while Roxant and others are having dinner. Kroemer was explaining to them about the country’s report that the Prussians were trying to enter Germany. The Kromer household and its tributary families approved them to treat all Prussians with discretion and deny them from entering their lands. While he was explaining all this, Roxant was busy eating apples and didn’t listen to his report.

Later in the chapter, When Roxant is heading back to the training facility, Schulz asks him why he is leaving so soon. Roxant said him due to Lady Leah being restless, and it was difficult for him to travel between the outbuilding and the estate. He felt stiff and clumsy sitting around.
