The recent chapter of Boruto revealed one of the biggest plot twists in Boruto, which shook the fans to the core. Chapter 79 ends with the lives of Boruto and Kawaki reversing, which makes Boruto a rogue shinobi, a villain in the manga. Fans eagerly await Boruto Chapter 80 release, anxious for what’s to come next. In this article, we will cover everything we know about Boruto chapter 80 so far.
We will be telling our readers the release date of chapter 80, providing the latest spoilers, and giving a recap of the previous chapter. So keep on reading till the end to know more! Fans had been anticipating something major to go wrong in Boruto’s life for a long time. Momoshiki had already prophesied that Boruto would lead a life full of pain and hardships early in the series.
Even so, no one was expecting the manga to take such a dramatic turn and leave everyone confused and nervous about the series’ progression. Now, Kawaki becomes Naruto’s real son, and Boruto is the adopted son of the family.
Naruto’s original reason for adopting Kawaki was his pity and sympathy toward Kawaki’s pain and misery. Everything that we knew and held true so far has been completely changed and turned upside down.
Boruto: Chapter 79 Recap
In chapter 79 of Boruto, Eida senses that Kawaki’s chakra signal has disappeared and uses this opportunity to her advantage. Using her powerful Seringan, Eida seeks Kawaki out and gives him an offer to form an alliance since he can benefit a lot from their union. On the other hand, Amado is desperate to meet Kawaki since he has been implanted with a system that will begin upon their meeting and can help stop Kawaki.
Amado pleads with Shikamaru for his case, but Amado doesn’t have any pure intentions either. Amado’s condition is that once Kawaki is dealt with, he should be able to walk away freely so that he can resurrect his daughter, as Ishiki had promised earlier. Ishiki would unlock Shinjutsu after consuming the omnipotent fruit, which would allow him to fulfill Amado’s desperate request.
The next part of the manga is quite heartfelt and emotional as Kawaki opens up about his desire to protect Konoha and Naruto. Naruto obviously holds an important place in Kawaki’s heart since Naruto adopted him into the family and gave him the love and care that he severely lacked. Not just that, Naruto provided Kawaki with a direction in life and supported him with love and care.
Eida then reveals a new power she possesses, the power of Shinjutsu. Momoshiki had said earlier that Shinjutsu could not be possessed by a human-like Eida since a weak body doesn’t stand a chance to withhold it. Eida then rewrites the history completely – she reverses the lives of Kawaki and Boruto. Kawaki is now known as Uzumaki Kawaki, and Boruto is the series’ villain. Everything that we knew so far was rewritten by Eida in an instant.
Boruto: Chapter 80 Spoilers
The authors of Boruto took a hiatus after releasing Chapter 79 and have been on a hiatus since 27 March 2023. The new chapter will be released on Thursday, 20 April 2023, at 12:00 AM JST.
A few leaked panels from Boruto Chapter 80 recently started circulating online. Eida’s incomplete powers are connected to Kawaki’s desire to swap lives with Boruto, and the powers rewrite everyone’s memory in a similar way. The way it works is similar to a complex form of Genjutsu.
It seems like Sarada and Sumire haven’t been affected by Eida’s powers and has retained their original memories. A leaked panel shows that Sarada unlocks her Mangekyo Sharingan and uses that to compel Sasuke to help Boruto. Fans are also speculating a time skip since Boruto is seen training in a manga panel so he can face Kawaki and put an end to this fight.
