Boku No Tsuma Wa Kanjou Ga Nai Chapter 41: Recap
Chapter 41 of Boku No Tsuma Wa Kanjou Ga Nai starts off with a teacher educating his students about how the number of humanoid robots have been increasing, which is consequently increasing the number of humans who see robots as human beings. However, robots cannot have human rights as they were made for the benefit of the human race. However, a robot should not be disrespected, and as a result, the school has organized a system to introduce robots to be assimilated in the school with the students.
However, the robots introduced in the school are difficult to distinguish from humans, which enables the students to confide in them. However, a new robot had entered the school, which could be easily identified. The robot’s name is Ryou Korosawa, a household robot who makes jokes about being an assassin robot who kills people for a living.
Kurosawa is brought to the robot research team where he tells them that they cannot hide their true colors under the name of Robot Research Team. Apparently, they are the dark robot gang, a secret society that manipulates robots and plots destruction. However, one of the girl says that he is not a bad guy because he has pictures of cats on his phone. However, Eri believes his words and is annoyed by him and calls him a ‘bum’.
The girls converse with him about his favorite subject, and Ryou gives a deep analysis of Maths and History. One of the girl speaks up and tells him that she would ‘love’ to ask him a question, but it might be crude. The robot replies by stating that it does not understand the concept of ‘love’ or emotions. However, there is a discrepancy because he understood the word ‘like’.
When Shiratori asks him what emotions are, Ryou replies that he only knows how he feels. From her point of view, Ryou does have feelings even though he does not admit it. Shiratori goes into deep analysis of emotions that Ryou might have to which he retorts that he is only an emotionless robot, unlike her.
The robot research club deduces that robots do not have feelings even though they are built to be indistinguishable from humans. One of the girls says that they are the same, but the origins are just different, like how everyone is a human but they grew up in different environments and ate different foods. Eri tells her that people are special, unlike robots.
People live in a society, but we can’t prove that they have the same feelings for each other. Humans knows how they feel. The difference between a robot and a human is that humans don’t know if they have the same feeling besides the feeling of “I don’t know’. Eri tells them that humans have value, and Ryou seconds her by saying that humans have a heart and value, and that is how things should be.
However, after a lot of deliberation, including eating together and discussing environmental differentiations, and talking about what makes humans different from robots, the group concludes that no matter what, every heart is unique to a person which others can’t see.
The next day. Kurosawa has food with one of the members of the Robot Research group. He has officially become a member. She asks him what kind of master created Ryou, to which he says that his owner is a manga artist, and they both enjoy their Tamagoyaki while chatting.
