Are you excited about Blue Lock Episode 17? We are in the same boat then! The previous chapter shows us that you just gotta let Isagi figure out his mindset, figure out his move set, there is no denying that probably over half of the players that are currently still active in Blur Lock are more talented than Isagi at face value but I think he has the most potential, he has the most growth potential in terms of mastering other people’s moves, figuring out on his own, and once he really gets deeper into the competition.
Honestly, Isagi is going to be the one that no one thinks he’ll be able to beat. Is he there yet? No!! but that’s what makes him a rootable character, he has the potential to get there, but he has a long way to go, and if you let the man cook if you let the man figure out at the moment as we just saw, he can make the argument, he got the one goal was that really enough to say he was a worthwhile team member.
We see the potential, we see him in the zone at that moment with Nagi, who hears the same phrase that he said to him when they were going up against each other. He goes from worrying that he is about ready to get give up to being like we are actually going to win this!! It’s just you can t help but get a kick out of it man.
The episode delivers a 5-4 victory, which is what I love about Asahi Naruhaya and just everything they did with that scene, If we take both of them both with Isagi and himself, Isagi is a more talented player than Naru, he is Naru not miss that shot as the goalie saves them, they almost got eliminated at the end there, prior to Isagi’s whole awakening moment.
What Happened Previously In Blue Lock
In theories, we could have a scene where Isagi is on the ground, and maybe Naru even cheering him up but now it makes sense that ultimately the more talented team won in terms of two strong players versus an exceptionally strong player and an average Joe.
Do I feel bad that Yo got eliminated? well yeah, I mean you get the backstory, you see who is he fighting for, and all things considered on a personal level, I think we all know who Isagi wanted to pick, but on a logical level he picked the person that will help them progress and succeed deeper and deeper, though I wonder which direction they are gonna go with the King, becasue the King is the very selfish player and we saw at multiple points throughout the match by him just tunning visioning and thinking he can do it by himself, he was on a team that lost.
If he does that in the next match, we could easily see a situation where the King, Nagi, as well as Isagi; lose their match and the King goes to the next team, and then the next team sees why the King ended up losing actually. However, if he is not that egotistical and starts working in coordination with his teammates it’s possible that the King will be one of their greatest assets.
We don’t know the direction yet but it is one of the moments where we don’t know how good the teamwork will be. After the credits, they are fighting who gets the bed and who gets the monk bed. The episode felt like redemption, I have been an avid Isagi supporter, and I have been saying that he is human, he feels emotions both positive and negative but when he falls on his face I look at that as a realistic character.
