Blue Lock Chapter 222: Recap & Spoilers
Finally, the two experts, Noa and Snuffy, joined in! The match was seemingly reaching its end. The game had intensified to the point that even Hiori desired to play.
The Bastard Munchens set up their new formation, 4-4-2, as Noa subs in the place of Kurona. The game seemed to be entirely in their hands. Isagi thinks that as they had scored two goals, it would be their win as long as they managed to get past “him.”
Meanwhile, Barou and Snuffy have a conversation. Seeing Snuffy subbing in for Sendou, Barou understands his intention and hands him the leadership. Snuffy changes the Uber “design” to 4-5-1, the Berserker Formation, and replaces their Goal Keeper. Now that both teams had changed their formation, the game resumed.
Seeing the new Uber formation, Isagi felt confused and unnerved; he couldn’t comprehend what kind of formation it was. Uber’s had too many people attacking; they had a very well-organized and flexible team. With Nick and Lorenzo leading Uber’s charge, it was hard for the bastard Munchens to get the ball. The combination of Nico’s passing and Larenzo’s dribbling skill proved too deadly for the Munchens. However, even with Uber’s fast-paced play, Isagi found a place to cut off their pass. But Snuffy had already gotten there.
Snuffy intersected the ball just before Isagi could. He also praised Isagi, telling him that he had a good eye. Isagi was taken aback at how he could prevent the ball from being lost; he thinks and concludes that Snuffy must have transcended his Metavision. Just then, Noa comes to the rescue, telling Isagi to help him pin down Snuffy. Isagi is surprised at Noa’s sudden appearance. Seeing Noa, Snuffy comments that he must be very considerate of his students.
Despite Noa and Isagi’s constant pressing, Snuffy was unaffected. Isagi is stunned by Snuffy’s ball-handling technique. Snuffy then passes the ball to Lorenzo, who in turn passes it to Nico. Seeing this, Ness comes to stop Nico; however, Nico passes the ball back to Snuffy. The Ubers were not giving even a single moment for the Bastard Munchens to think.
Meanwhile, Barou had positioned himself close to the goal. Seeing this, Snuffy passes the ball to Barou. However, as he was about to shoot, Isagi and Kaiser stopped him. Barou was surprised that his shot was blocked.
While Isagi and Kaiser had blocked it this time, they weren’t sure if they could do it again. Isagi had only gotten there in the nick of time. The Bastard Munchen knew that to win, they had to stop Snuffy somehow; however, it was easier said than done. Snuffy was a master, so much so that even Isagi feared his playmaking. He had been controlling the game from the second he stepped onto the field. The chapter ends as Snuffy orders the Ubers to go with the next “design.”
