Blue Lock: Chapter 216 Preview
In chapter 216, Snuffy asks Barou if Barou wants to be the King of Ubers, basically giving his throne to him. Snuffy tells Barou that his specs and mindset make him the best in Blue Lock and even the best in this Neo-Egoist league. Snuffy asks Barou to work with him as the new King of Ubers. Surprisingly, Barou refuses Snuffy’s offer and tells Snuffy that he is who he is and he has his own way of thinking.
Barou also continues to say that he is not Snuffy’s friend and he wouldn’t go ahead and kill himself just because he failed. Barou says that he doesn’t want to be an adult like Snuffy in the future, who is scared of failure and hiding in a shell. Barou walks away from Snuffy and exits the training field, where he bumps into his team members, who seem to be listening in on the conversation that went on between him and Snuffy.
Aiko exclaims that Barou is amazing for refusing the throne offered by Snuffy. Barou tells Aiko that he is not the only one being coaxed and that Barou will use his talent only for himself. In the next scene, we see Barou in Blue Lock’s relaxation theatre room, and he is stretching when suddenly the channel changes.
Lorenzo asks Barou if he wants to watch a movie with him instead of the forest background, and Barou demands that the remote be back to change the background to what it originally was.
Lorenzo remarks that Snuffy has taken a liking to Barou, but Barou ignores that and gets annoyed at Lorenzo for changing channels and spilling popcorn all over the floor. Lorenzo continues saying that Snuffy can make any team he works with a win.
Snuffy is playing football to fulfill the dream he had with his best friend, and if he wins the Italian League with the Ubers, Snuffy will retire and become a coach, which is why he’s looking for a Striker.
Borou ignores this and shrugs Lorenzo off. Lorenzo flashes his golden teeth and asks Borou to look at them, to which Barou gives a disgusted reaction. Lorenzo begins telling Barou about his negligent parents and his bad living situation as a child. We see a flashback of a young Lorenzo sitting beside a heap of garbage when Snuffy approaches him and asks him to work with him and play football.
Lorenzo asks Snuffy for money, and Snuffy goes ahead and has Lorenzo’s teeth replaced with golden ones on his fickle request. Lorenzo tells Barou that Snuffy is crazy enough to lend a hand to someone like him when Snuffy appears. Barou tells Snuffy that he is willing to work with him, but he wants Snuffy to make him the King of the World instead. Snuffy tells Barou that their deal is finalized, and they will begin training now.
