About Blue Exorcists
Blue Exorcists known as Ao no Ekusoshisuto is one of those anime and manga series that made fans crazy over it in no time. The shonen, adventure, and dark fantasy series were initially released as manga. It was written and illustrated by Kazue Kato and was published by Shueisha Publications. An English version of the manga was released by Viz Media. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine of Shueisha starting on 4th April 2009. The manga has been collected in 27 tankobon volumes but the production was put on hold in 2021. It also received an anime adaptation by A- 1 Picture studio and was directed by Tensai Okamura. It was broadcasted on JNN in Japan and was licensed by Adult Swim for international airing.
Another manga series titled “Salaryman Exorcists: The Sorrows of Yukio Okumura” was released. The story was written by Kazue Kato but was illustrated by Minoru Sasaki. It too got published by Shueisha and serialized in two direct magazines. In Jump SQ. 19 from April 2013 to February 2015 and later Jump Square from April 2015 to April 2020. Another anime was released titled “Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga,” produced by A-1 Pitcures on 7th January 2017. It ended with 12 episodes and one OVA on 25th March 2017.
Plot
The story is set up in a fictional world where it is divided into two dimensions. Both these dimensions are attached to one another as a mirror and its reflection. It takes us through the life of our protagonist Rin Okumura. He lives along with his brother Yukio and father, Shiro Fujimoto, who is an exorcist. One fateful day, Rin discovers the fact that he and his brother Yukio are the two sons of satan. On the very same day, their guardian Shiro dies while trying to protect them. Rin receives a demon-slaying sword named Kurikara that keeps his powers at bay. However, after he discovered who he was, he started to gain all the features that a demon has. Fangs, horns, tails, and especially the power to ignite a blue flame that can literally destroy everything it touches.
Blue Exorcist Manga Comeback Date confirmed
We all know that it is very difficult to wait for something that we hold very dear to us. The same happened with the avid readers of the manga Blue Exorcists. It was noticed back in 2021 that the manga is going on a hiatus, and the returning dates stand unknown. That turned out to be very heartbreaking for the fans, but they had to wait. In February 2022, the March release of Shueisha’s Jump SQ comic revealed that the Blue Exorcists manga is going to come back soon. The date was later extended to May 2022, but still, a particular date was not revealed.
However, now as we have entered a new phase of this year, the creators have to reveal a date. As the time is reaching close, a date is revealed now. Blue Exorcist Manga comeback date is set for 2nd May 2022 with the continued adventures of Rin. A special cover has also been set to celebrate the comeback of the manga.
