Big Brother 2022’s season 24 is about to wrap up another week. We got to find out who was kicked out and who took over as the new boss of the house on Thursday. All that is left to be determined is who will compete for survival and who are the new nominees. After last Thursday’s live eviction, which included Daniel being ejected, the episode airing on Sunday night picked up just after the Head of Household battle started.
So without wasting any more time, let’s directly jump on to what all happened in Big Brother Season 24 Episode 17 and what all this commotion is about.
What Happened in Big Brother Season 24 Episode 17?
Viewers of Big Brother are aware that a significant twist is about to occur. The house will shortly be split into two different factions, each of which will play its own game and vote its very own houseguest out in a double elimination. The players are unaware of this though. Nevertheless, The Leftovers are confident in their standing in the game and are working hard to win the most recent HOH competition in order to maintain control over nominations. Daniel was the final contestant to leave the house when Taylor was crowned the next HoH, and he already has ideas and potential nominees.
Everyone knows they don’t want to be selected, go to the block, or fail the veto battle, but someone has to do it. The game is becoming less and less forgiving while also becoming spicier. We have witnessed this with Daniel the most over the last week of his stay, when, upon switching on the fresh HoH, the rest of the house attacked him. The main line is that Michael & Brittany have pretty much put everything on the line with The Leftovers, so they don’t feel particularly motivated to assist Kyle and Joseph as they ride the center of the House. Instead, they feel safe no matter who prevails Head of Household. Everybody was eliminated as the Leftovers gained control of the house. Kyle has been feeling a little lonely lately because Daniel is no longer living there, but it doesn’t appear that he will become the next victim.
It’s also important to note that there are some early signs of a potential second on screen romance, though it’s still too early to tell whether they will develop into anything more than a play-it-safe first romance and begin to affect strategy. This week’s veto will be extremely telling, based on who earns it and how they utilise it. Taylor currently appears to be leaning away from using it, but the group may later alter its mind and decide that Alyssa must go free Kyle or attempt to persuade Taylor to throw Jasmine on the Block. That prompts us to speculate about the potential candidates for the contest that will introduce alliances and strategies.
