Biao Ren: Blades Of The Guardians is the anime adaptation of the popular Chinese manhwa series of the same name, which is written as well illustrated by popular Chinese artist Xianzhe Xu.
The ongoing anime show is a great example of how beautifully the characters and story of a manga can be adapted into a moving two-dimensional form.
The first season of the show is being adapted by one of the best anime studios in China, Tencent Penguin Pictures, while Colored Pencil Animation Japan is also part of the crew.
The story is all about the period where there was the transition of two dynasties of China, the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty. At the same time, we also find out that the Tang Dynasty was in the present from 618 to 907 AD.
In this era, we have Daoma, a middle-aged guy who is also a highly skilled and talented Samurai, who also has a strange sense of honor and who travel across ancient China so that he can make a living with the help of his sword.
One certain day, we find out that Daoma accepts one of the paid escort missions that is going to take him to the capital city of Chang’an. However, although he believed that this was going to be an easy task, later, it turned out that it was way more than he bargained for.
