Chloe was pleasantly surprised when Damian showed up unexpectedly to join her that afternoon. He explained that he had concluded his work meeting early and could not allow his business affairs to keep him from his wife.
Chloe’s face flushed red upon hearing his tender words, though she dismissed it as simply the warmth of the day when he playfully teased her reaction.
Damian’s curiosity was piqued by the mysterious contents Chloe held tightly in her arms. She attempted to convince him it was nothing of importance, wary of him discovering the truth – they were actually his rare stamps that she had taken an interest in.
