The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, but players are already asking Bethesda for additional updates to improve the game’s performance. The Switch 2 version is playable, although some issues remain, including frame-rate drops below the 30fps target.
Bethesda has now acknowledged those requests, potentially opening the door for another Oblivion Remastered patch.
In a statement shared with Nintendo Life, Bethesda said it had
“heard your feedback asking for an additional patch for Oblivion Remastered.”

The developer added that the Switch 2 version contains
“a number of optimizations”
that it is investigating possible implementation on other platforms. Bethesda has not yet confirmed a specific release date or details for another Switch 2 update.
The acknowledgment could nevertheless be encouraging for Switch 2 owners hoping for further improvements. Current issues include performance dips and the lack of automatic switching to Joy-Con 2 mouse mode.
Bethesda previously supported Skyrim on Switch 2 with multiple updates, including fixes for input latency and a later 60Hz mode. However, Oblivion Remastered is a substantially more demanding release, so similar improvements may require additional development time.
