School of Rock is a 2003 comedy film directed by Richard Linklater, it one of the earliest films of him. He is known for making films with a humanitarian touch, his other films include the cult classic Dazed and Confused.
The Plot – Jack Black plays a rock guitarist Dewey Finn, who is struggling to keep his ends meet who gets kicked out of his band and now portrays himself as a substitute teacher at a school and after seeing the talent of his students now plans to form a band and to register himself to win the upcoming Battle of the Bands and pay off his rent.

It is a coming of age comedy film starring comedy duo Jonah Hill and Michael Cera in lead roles as Seth and Evan two highschool kids, the film got praise from critics and audience alike for its humor and performances of both Hill and Cera.

5. Sideways
Sideways is a comedy film about two friends, who go on a road trip to vineyards of the Santa Ynez Valley the week before Jack’s wedding. Sideways received widespread acclaim from critics and was nominated for various awards including Academy Award-winning best-adapted screenplay.
The Plot – It follows the story of two men in their forties one a writer and other a failed actor who take a week-long road trip to Santa Barbara County wine country to celebrate Jack’s upcoming wedding.
