Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 has revealed its first teaser trailer, offering a glimpse of Fate Graphite’s next battles ahead of the anime’s confirmed 2027 release. The trailer premiered during the Crunchyroll Showcase at New York Comic Con on October 8, 2026, alongside confirmation that Crunchyroll has acquired the upcoming season for streaming, following its release of Season 1.
The new footage shows Fate pushing his Gluttony skill to greater extremes as he fights alongside Greed, the sentient sword that has become his powerful companion. Purple energy surrounds parts of Fate’s body, while other scenes show him turning red as he unleashes his abilities against formidable opponents. The teaser also introduces glimpses of new enemies and closes by revealing that the story will move into a new location known as the Domain of E.
Based on Isshiki Ichika’s light novel series, the anime follows a young man whose seemingly useless skill allows him to consume the abilities of those he kills. The franchise has surpassed 2.2 million copies in circulation, and the second season is set to continue its mix of dark fantasy, intense battles, and Fate’s struggle to control the dangerous power growing within him.
BERSERK OF GLUTTONY SEASON 2 INTRODUCES A NEW STAGE FOR FATE
The first season focused on Fate’s transformation from an outcast into a powerful fighter. His Gluttony skill initially seemed like a curse because it left him constantly hungry, but killing an intruder revealed its true ability to absorb the skills and powers of his victims.
Fate’s journey then became a battle on two fronts. He sought to protect Roxy, a Holy Knight who treated him with kindness, while trying to prevent Gluttony from consuming him. Greed, the sentient sword he encounters, remains central to his efforts to understand and control his growing strength.
Season 2 appears ready to push that conflict further. The teaser’s battle sequences show Fate unleashing increasingly intense powers, while the reveal of the Domain of E establishes a new setting for the next stage of his journey. The trailer also hints at enemies capable of challenging his enhanced abilities.
RETURNING CAST AND PRODUCTION STAFF CONFIRMED
The main Japanese voice cast will return for Berserk of Gluttony Season 2. Ryota Osaka reprises his role as Fate Graphite, Tomokazu Seki returns as Greed, Hisako Tojo voices Roxy, and Misato Matsuoka returns as Myne. Hitomi Sekine and Takehito Koyasu also return as Eris and Aaron, respectively.
The production team includes Tetsuya Yanagisawa as chief director and Kenichi Ishikura as director. Mariko Kunisawa handles series composition, while Takafumi Furusawa is responsible for character designs. GENCO is producing the anime, with ACGT returning as the animation studio.
The original light novels, written by Isshiki Ichika with character illustrations by fame, began as a web novel before being published under Micro Magazine’s GC Novels imprint. Daisuke Takino’s manga adaptation is serialized through Comic Ride, and the franchise has surpassed 2.2 million copies in circulation.
