Time to raise the anchors and talk about all this stuff that’s been going on in Below Deck Down Under Season 2. I’ll cover the last two episodes with a few spoilers, as they are necessary to provide the background for all the stuff that’s been happening. It’s a lot, and there’s a lot to unpack.
As we’ve seen in previous episodes aboard the Northern Sun, we can see how Captain Jason tries to keep the ship afloat. There’s just been mistake after mistake: Botched dinner services, a nasty scratch on the side of the boat, there’s a lot of bad vibes on that vessel, that’s for sure.
Below Deck Down Under Season 2 Episode 10 & 11 Recap
If this crew focused more on working than being romantic below deck —pun intended— we wouldn’t have this string of comedic errors that have mired the Northern Sun’s journey. But then again, we wouldn’t have a show. Tzarina is feeling blue because she saw Jaimee and Culver making out.
On the other side of the boat, she has a few words with Joao, sharing her business. Meanwhile, Harry and Margot are trying to get in sync, or more like Harry is trying to get Margot, and Margot doesn’t want to. In any case, it was fun and complex.
We see more of Jaimee and Culver’s kisses, then some censored shower sexytime. Meanwhile, Adam gave Margot some pointers concerning Harry.
As the humping gets out of the way, we meet some new passengers, a woman that owns a few stores and a stay-at-home mom who doesn’t seem so demanding, but they pack a punch with their kids.
Cappie Jason and Aesha have a talk in the upper deck, and they’re both homesick. There are some reminiscences, but I didn’t pick up on a spark.
Since the boat suffered a scratch, Captain Jason wants all the ducks in a row. He sends some stern scoldings and gives the crew a day off so they can relax.
Aesha has some confessionals concerning the environmental impact of the yachts on ocean life. Adam keeps joking and trying to point Margot away from Harry, and Harry is upset about that; that dude doesn’t know how to read the room and interpret that Margot and Adam are just friends.
Culver and Jamiee? That kissing and screwing just keeps on going. Meanwhile, Joao and Tzarina have a talk, and then Tzarina talks to Harry about Joao. After the talk, Joao wants to see if Tzarina will join him in the hot tub, only to be rejected: The woman wants some downtime with her pillow.

Below Deck Down Under Season 2 Episode 10 & 11 Review
This double dose of Below Deck Down Under had a lot of things: We can start by stating that Jamiee and Culver are more focused on the exchange of bodily fluids against an oceanic backdrop than their job.
Then, we have to cover Adam, whose talks and banter with Margot get in Harry’s way, and that talking and distraction causes him to make mistakes that could put the vessel or his own ass in danger.
If you saw the episode, that thing with the anchor, his head sticking out, and a speeding boat could’ve meant a decapitation, major damage to the vessel, and a tragedy:
Below Deck Down Under doesn’t need those sorts of headlines to have a spike in ratings; they already have a lot on their plate concerning the sexual harassment shenanigans in the past.
I can’t understand Tzarina: She’s toting between being a workaholic, hyper professional and ultra-focused worker, or trying to unwind, but it’s the last part, the unwinding, that seems to go against her grain because otherwise she would’ve picked up the signs from Joao.
Again, this is a show about relationships on a boat, and if Tzarina refrains, we can’t blame her, but when we look at the other extreme, Jamiee and Culver, we can understand why the comedy of mistakes adds up a bit by bit and could culminate in disaster.
Despite the fact that the guests for a one-day service were a couple of moms with their kids, the crew managed to pull things through, and when the tips came out, each one had about 1.5K extra in their bags, Which brings me to this:
Tipping culture, at least in the USA, is a perfect excuse for low wages. But that’s another debate for another occasion. I’ll see you on the next delivery of Below Deck Down Under.
