Bel-Air Season 3 is what fans can talk about right now since we are practically on the verge of ending the second season. The series throws light on a reboot of the 90s sitcom called The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. But we all know the entire genre differs from what we saw in the 90s.
That drama was fun and lighthearted, with comedy and only minor issues with the family. Uncle Phil is super hot this time, and the drama is intense. It has crime and romance and real-world problems such as racism and teenage issues such as therapy and gender norms.
Sometimes, the original characters from the 90s show come on the screen, such as Ms. Hughes, who just appeared as a Bel-Air teacher who was fired. She is the original Ashley from the original show, and seeing her bond with the new Ashley was truly iconic.
As for Will, we see that he is still the same from West Philly, but this time, he did not just get beat up by some kids in his hood; there were guns and gangs involved, which could threaten his life even when he is in LA. Coming to his new life on the other side of the country, we meet the Banks family, who is super rich and loaded.
Bel-Air Season 2 Recap
Aunt Viv has become a mother figure to her that Will’s mom is in Philly. Also, Uncle Phil had truly taken on the father’s duties for him because his father left the family when Will was a kid. We see that Will has an on-and-off relationship with Carlton, where they are either brutal enemies to each other or die-hard brothers who would do anything to protect each other.
We see them in the second type of relationship in the second season. As for Hillary, she is an influencer and a business owner with a huge amount of following. She finally moved out of her parents’ poolhouse and decided to open up her version of the influencer house; she is currently in a relationship with Jazz, a LA vinyl shop owner who is pretty chill and friends with Will as soon as he came to Bel-Air. As for Ashley, she is still studying in middle school and is very influenced by her ethnicity and history.
We see that Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv are a dynamic duo with their butler Geoffrey who also has his personal life involved in the show. Uncle Phil ran for the DA in the first season but soon stepped down from the race. He works as a lawyer at his firm and is looking to expand his business.
Aunt Viv, a homemaker in the first season, decided to touch back her art with the second one. She has now also won an art fellowship and decided to have a gallery to sell her pieces. As for Geoffrey, we see that he has had some issues with Uncle Phil in the past, but all of them were resolved this season when Phil apologized and asked him to come back. We have just understood that Geoffrey has a son who lives in London, and he is trying to meet with him.
