Warner Bros. Japan announced that they have greenlit the production of the anime film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, a sequel to the 2018 film Batman Ninja On Thursday, May 30, 2024,
Batman Ninja is a unique American-Japanese animated superhero film from 2018, where DC Comics’ Batman travels back in time to Japan’s Warring States Period. In this era, Batman battles against DC Super-Villains, including a feudal lord version of The Joker.
Warner Bros. Japan Reveals Sequel to Batman Ninja Anime Film
The new film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League has been approved for production by Warner Bros. Japan, following the positive reception of the original film. The sequel will be produced in collaboration with Kamikaze Douga, the same studio that worked on the first movie. Kamikaze Douga is also known for animating STARWARS: VISIONS The Duel and the opening theme animation for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series.
Koichi Yamadera acclaimed as “the man with the seven-colored voice,” will reprise his role as Batman. Yamadera is recognized for his roles as Zohakuten in Demon Slayer, Beerus in Dragon Ball Super, and Kouichi Zenigata in Lupin the IIIrd.
The upcoming movie will be directed by Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi, with Kazuki Nakashima writing the story and Takashi Okazaki designing the characters. Yugo Kanno, who worked on the first film, will return to compose the music for the sequel.
