A documentary that exclusively features transformations of old barns to modern builds, Barnwood Builders will soon come out with a new episode. With last week’s episode featuring the Barnwood living crew going through a busy schedule, they’ll head for a short Maine trip full of fun sports, food, and another inspiring transformation.
The docu-series has been airing since November 1st, 2013, and has had multiple seasons over the years. It has aired on Discovery Channel, Great American Country, and many others, but now the airing is mostly done on Magnolia Network. It is home to many amazing house-centered shows such as Fixer Upper, In With The Old, Maine Cabin Masters, and Restored.
Mark Bowe is the franchise owner who goes around each state trying to fix broken and abandoned barns and other wooden structures. The team specializes in turning these simple structures into modern living homes while ensuring the original craftmanship is not disregarded in each build.
This house renovation series crew has become experts in restoring pioneer-era builds seen all over eastern regions of the United States. They purchase each structure and then analyze it. After discovering its history, the team breaks the structure down and uses the old hand-down logs to make a new, better-looking build that would make up a cozy cabin or a modern house.
Barnwood Builders: About The Crew
The crew in the 15th season of Barnwood Builders consists of Mark Bowe and his staff, Johnny Jett, Sherman Thompson, Tim Rose, Graham Ferguson, and Alex Webb. Born in Lewisburg, West Virginia, the group’s creator, Mark Bowe, used to work as a coal miner before he started his house renovation endeavors.
After earning a bachelor’s in Business Administration, Bowe created Antique Cabins and Barns in 1995. It was almost after 21 years that he decided to expand his company and name it Barnwood Living. Over the years that he’s resonated, Mark and his team have restored more than 500 structures, showing just how great they are at what they do.
What makes Mark’s work unique is his preservation factor, which is much higher than most of the current renovation experts. He manages to keep the pioneer architecture and history intact while also making the place livable according to current times.
