Baki Hanma season 1 sees Baki continuing his journey to becoming his father’s equal. The season covered the part of the manga where Baki enters Arizona State Prison. Therein, he takes on the notorious Mr. Unchained — Biscuit Oliva — and gains new skills to equip himself to surpass Yuujirou. Baki Hanma Season 2 Release Date
As of yet, Netflix has not made any official announcements regarding the release date of Baki Hanma season 2. There’s no official word on if a second season is in the works at all either. However, a second season is very likely to happen since the Baki IP has proved to be very popular for Netflix. The streaming platform has been pouring big money on anime, which has only accelerated in recent times.
The Baki series is one of Netflix’s most popular anime properties to date. It would make a lot of sense for the streamer to follow it up with season 2. Another big reason for the renewal of the Baki Hanma series is the ending of season 1. At the end of the Baki Hanma season 1 finale, we saw the excavators finding a humongous man. This is, of course, Baki’s prime rival for the next saga — Pickle. The cliffhanger ending of season 1 is evident of a very likely sequel.
What Will Happen in Baki Hanma Season 2 — Possible Plot Details
Baki Hanma follows the titular character of Baki, an 18-year-old and one of the strongest grapplers in the world. However, he’s still not quite at the top, a place reserved by his monstrous father — Yuujirou Hanma. The series follows Baki’s arduous and brutal training to defeat all the contenders, with the ultimate opponent being Yuujirou. Baki’s father, nicknamed “Ogre”, is the strongest man on Earth. The first season of Baki Hanma followed Baki to the Arizona State Prison. To intentionally get himself incarcerated, Baki kidnaps the president of America. The reason is simple — challenge Biscuit “Unchained” Oliva and defeat him. Defeating Oliva — a fighter even the Ogre respects — would prove that he’s a worthy fighter. However, once Baki arrives at the prison, he comes to realize the challenge is not as easy as he might’ve anticipated.
He gradually overcomes the challenges and has a brutal and bloody brawl with Oliva, ultimately defeating him. Oliva accepts his defeat, and Baki leaves the prison. Meanwhile, Yuujirou learns about Baki’s victory and thinks about the ultimate confrontation. However, there’s still a lot Baki will have to contend with before exchanging blows with the Ogre. Baki Hanma season 2 will adapt the third part of the manga series. ‘Wildman War — Pickle Wars Saga’ follows Baki’s eventual confrontation with a prehistoric man. Who is this man? Well, his name is Pickle, and he’s a man from the prehistoric ages. Perfectly preserved deep within the outer crust of the Earth, excavators in Colorado dig him out. Waking up from his eons-long sleep, Pickle instantly becomes a subject that invites challenges. Eventually, the prehistoric tank of a man will collide with Baki.

Baki Hanma season 2 might see Baki fight Pickle while also inching closer to surpassing his father, Yuujirou Hanma.
Who will be in the Cast
Baki Hanma season 2 will see the usual roster come back to voice the brutes again. The cast of the Baki Hanma series is mostly the same as that of the ‘Baki’ series. This means Nobunaga Shimazaki will return to voice the titular Baki. Akio Otsuka voices Yuujirou, and he would be returning to lend the character his voice again. Hochu Otsuka will also return to voice Biscuit Oliva. Similarly, we can expect the cast for the English dub is also going to return for the second season. According to certain reports, the cast for the English dub will also be returning. Troy Baker lends his voice to the titular character of Baki. Kirk Thorton voices Yuujirou while James Mathis III voices Biscuit Oliva. As for the other cast members, we can expect the slate to be more or less the same as before.
Where to Watch Baki Hanma Online — Streaming Details
Baki Hanma season 2, if it gets the green light, will be available to watch on Netflix. If the anime gets the green light, we can expect season 2 to hit Netflix in 2022. There are still three more sagas in the Baki Hanma series that the anime adaptation can cover. With the first season of Baki Hanma premiering on Netflix on September 30, 2021, a second season would take time. That is, when and if it gets the green light from Netflix (which it’ll definitely get). There is still a lot of time before we can see the next part of the Baki Hanma series on Netflix. Baki Hanma season 1 has 12 episodes in total and is currently available to stream on Netflix.
