Souta will be putting his intentions in front of Daisuke and Kasumi and displaying what he wants to do with his future. This is the result of him going into the adventuring school and getting Kano involved in it.
But that explanation doesn’t sit well with his new parents, and he must give them something concrete in Avalon of Disaster Chapter 27.
Souta is transmigratory in a fantasy game world that is up for destruction in a few years. However, the one who was surprised by it the most was none other than Souta as he found himself in the body of Chubby villain. A minor villain for players to phase through and to be forgotten sometime later in the story.
And just like every responsible transmigrator, Souta decided that he needed to avoid his fate. Moreover, he will also be preparing for the upcoming catastrophe that will more or less make him the king of the world. But before that, he needs to take care of the domestic issues with his parents, or his adventure will end before it begins.
Spoilers
Avalon of Disaster Chapter 27 will see how Souta convinces his folks to let him attend the Adventurer school. He was hoping to open that discussion with them out of his accord, but they took the initiative. When the Action protagonist was out dropping Kaori, his parents discovered what he had been up to through Kano.
When Souta entered, all the family members were gathered around the table with his broken shoes on the table. Daisuke told him to take the seat, and Souta seated himself across from his father and had the inevitable discussion with them. Daisuke, while light-hearted and caring, was direct with his son, showing his resolute side and bringing up one question after next.
Souta tried to mollify the situation by answering in a jovial tone, but the conviviality was lost on his father. When Souta had given every answer trying to diffuse the situation, Daisuke told him tersely that he was serious.
It was then that Souta started to consider what kind of answer he should give to the patriarch. He knows that if he lies it will be seen through, so he decided to stick with his desire to protect in the end.
Recap
Avalon of Disaster Chapter 26 started where it left off in the previous chapter prior, with an insult from a childhood friend. Kaoru was starting to get worried for Souta after he hadn’t shown up at school, but she needn’t worry for long. As Souta came home with Kana not soon after, in a rather good shop but Kaoru had her reasons.
Kaoru was worried that Souta had been defeated by a slime once again, and hence couldn’t attend the classes. While the truth is, Souta (and Kano) were dungeon diving and had come across an irregular on the seventh floor. The appearance of which Souta couldn’t figure out as it wasn’t in the script, and pondered over it for hours.
Moreover, there is also the DLC shop that was frequented by others other than him, a fact that disturbed him more. Only the players know of its existence, and someone coming in to ask if someone has come to the shop before.
This cements the fact that Souta isn’t the only player in the world, and someone will be on his trial in the future. But he found himself deep in those musings as he fell asleep thinking about the future possibilities.
