Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is finally coming to theaters in India. Medialink and PVR INOX Pictures have confirmed that the compilation film, which brings together the anime’s final chapters, will receive a nationwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026.

The release gives Indian fans their first opportunity to experience the epic conclusion of the Attack on Titan anime on the big screen, nearly two years after the film’s original debut in Japan.
A Long-Awaited Release for Indian Fans
Attack on Titan: The Last Attack had been expected to arrive in India since a teaser poster appeared at Medialink’s booth during Anime India 2025 in Mumbai. After months of anticipation, Medialink and PVR INOX Pictures officially confirmed that the film will open in theaters across India on July 24, 2026.
The film will also be available in premium formats, including 4DX and MX4D, allowing fans to experience the final battle with enhanced visual and motion effects.
Ahead of the announcement, the movie received approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the way for its nationwide theatrical release.
What The Last Attack Covers
Attack on Titan: The Last Attack combines the two specials, The Final Season: The Final Chapters, into a single 145-minute theatrical film. The compilation also features improved visuals, updated lighting, and enhanced 5.1 surround sound created specifically for cinemas.
The story adapts the final Rumbling arc, in which Eren Yeager’s plan pushes the world toward destruction. Former friends and enemies must join forces in a desperate attempt to stop him and decide humanity’s future.
The theatrical version also includes a new post-credits scene inspired by Attack on School Castes, giving longtime fans additional content beyond the television release.
From Japan to Indian Theaters
The film first premiered in Japan on November 8, 2024, where it enjoyed a successful limited theatrical run. It sold around 175,000 tickets and earned nearly ¥250 million during its opening weekend.
Director Yuichiro Hayashi supervised the film’s theatrical presentation, while Linked Horizon’s iconic theme song, “To You in 2,000… or… 20,000 Years From Now,” returns as part of the movie’s soundtrack.
Following its success in Japan, the film has continued its international rollout, with India becoming one of the latest countries to receive a theatrical release.
Anime Movies Continue to Grow in India
The release of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack reflects the growing popularity of anime films in Indian cinemas. In recent years, Medialink and PVR INOX Pictures have brought several major anime titles to theaters, expanding access for local fans.
The Attack on Titan franchise already has a strong audience in India, with the complete anime series available through Anime Times in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
That established fanbase is expected to make The Last Attack one of the biggest anime theatrical releases in India this year.
What Fans Can Expect
The film will be screened in Japanese with English subtitles. Information about showtimes, participating theaters, and premium screening formats is expected to be announced closer to the release date.
For many Indian fans, this will be the first opportunity to watch the conclusion of Attack on Titan on the big screen instead of at home.
With its cinematic presentation, enhanced audio, and large-scale action sequences, Attack on Titan: The Last Attack offers a new way to experience the anime’s unforgettable finale.
