Attack On Titan’s final episode is now available to stream on the Crunchyroll streaming platform and with it, the anime has finally come to an end after 10 years of when the anime first aired. Adapting the final few chapters from the manga, this episode does an incredible job of what Hajime Isayama had built with this Attack On Titan manga.
The animation for this lengthy episode did justice to the series and it was worth the producers took the time to complete this project. We are assuming that even this much wasn’t sufficient enough for something as amazing as this and the employee at the Mappa studio must have overworked to produce this beautiful episode.
Hajime Isayama himself apologized for this burden on the Mappa studio as it wasn’t easy for him to draw this final moment in the manga and he can only imagine how tough it was for the Mappa studio. We could easily see this Attack On Titan Final Episode becoming the favorite episode of the fans forever for it being such an incredible piece.
This masterpiece has come to an end indeed, and I am glad to present a review for the final episode of one of my favorite anime. With that being said, here we bring you the final updates on the Attack On Titan anime series.
Never imagined the depiction of the Rumbling to be even more horrifying in the anime

Attack On Titan Final Episode – Review and Recap
The final episode picks up from where the previous one had left with the arrival of Armin, Mikasa, Levi, Jean, Conny, Reiner, and Pieck all aboard the final plane driven by Onyakopon. As they get closer to Eren’s humungous body, Zeke’s beast titan makes it appear hanging by the bones and throws rubles at the arrivals however, they get past and all aboard jumps at Eren with Reiner taking the Beast Titan down.
Noticing that it is only an empty husk, everyone makes up the plan to find Eren and approach his neck where he could possibly be but, it isn’t easy as hundreds of Titans have appeared on Eren’s back defining him. Given that Armin could stop Eren with his transformation, one of the Titans grabs hold of him and keeps him from transforming and thus it is difficult for them to go forward with this plan anymore.
Therefore, Pieck takes charge of wrapping the bomb around Eren’s neck and stopping him but the war hammer titan arrives and stops her. Soon Berthetold’s colossal titan also appears and stops them for good with everyone almost getting injured and only Misaka surviving.
Annie Arries With Falco’s Flying Titan
As Misaka has no choice but to fight the Titans all alone, Annie arrives with Flaco and Gabi where Falco has turned into a titan that can fly as he thought he could due to his memories. The flying titan helps everyone and thus they develop a new plan of some of them going after Armin and the others taking care of Eren’s neck.
Mikasa goes after the Titan with Annie who has hold of Armin and the others go after Eren. Pieck showcases the durability of her Titan’s power in the sequences, the amount of Titans with abilities they have to fight is immeasurable.
Armin And Zeke’s Conversation Turing The Tides
As the fight continues, Armin’s monologues reveal that he still has consciousness of what is going on outside and realizes that he is still alive and not being choked to death. Soon he finds himself in the path area where he also sees Zeke.
Their conversation dwells on the meaning of life and what is Ymir’s true motive. Armin states that he had always wondered if he was only born to be with his friends playing and doing nothing and it does not scare but finds happiness in it.
Zekes sees the ball that he used to play catch with and realizes he could have spent his life playing catch and even though his plan would have been the best outcome, he states that he would have loved to be born again and play catch once more.
Stopping The Rumbling And Eren
As this flashback ends, we see that Misaka locates the Titan that has gotten hold of Armin and the other previous Titan users that were alive and had seen Zeke who ranges from his Grisha to his companion, everyone has started to help them fight against the other Titans.
Seeing this opportunity, Misaka starts to close in on the Titan that has hold of Armin and Gabi shoots this Titan with her rifle slows the Titan down and Mikasa opens its mouth bringing out Armin. Armin blasts the Titan with his gear and informs everyone that Zeke has helped them by awakening these familiar Titans to help them.
Zeke starts to call out Levi saying that he is aware that he wants to see him and thus inviting him to kill him to end the rumbling which is what happens. After the rumbling stops, Jean closes in on Eren’s neck where the bombs are attached, and explodes it.
This scene is perfect and painful (we did it guys) Levi crying.! 🥲

This sees Eren’s head falling off and the creature that Zeke has described as “Life” also gets out and starts to close in with Eren’s head again. Gabi worries that if it reaches Eren again, the rumbling might start again but Reiner holds it down and Armin transforms exploding everything in the area.
Ending Things For Good
After the explosion, as the dust settles, a lot of things occur from Gabi meeting with her parents again to Annie almost meeting her father but that thing is still alive and starts to release gas that Conny quickly realizes that it is gas that turns everyone into Titan at the Ragoka village and therefore Levi orders Pieck and Mikasa to leave on Flace as it won’t affect the Ackerman and Titan shifters.
Eren's final Titan being a Colossal Titan is the most full circle moment in the series. #AttackOnTitan pic.twitter.com/f45Hj0G9X9

Meanwhile, Eren is also not dead and is back by transforming into Coolosal looking like a titan, and Armin heads on for a while, Reiner is forced to keep the thing back while also fighting the army of the pure Titans including his friend.
Mikasa finally comes around after a small flashback of what could be with her with Eren if the two had gotten away from everything and is ready to kill Eren. Levi and Pieck open up a hole in Eren’s mouth while Armin stops him Eren allowing Mikasa to kill Eren for good.

As Eren’s head decapitated, Armin sees a memory from the past where Eren had already explained this outcome, and while he did not see any other, this is how it was supposed to get Mikasa to be the one that would guide Ymir to a path that will eradicate the Titans from this world for good.
This flashback is quite emotional and depicts how amazingly Eren and Armin’s character is written. The two friends reconcile and promise to meet in hell if it exists. After Eren dies, the thing also disappears and so do the Titans and everyone is turned back to normal. Eren’s friends realize that he did all of this for them. Mikasa leaves saying that she will bury Eren where he used to sleep the most.
What Is Next?
Attack On Titan’s ending is surely complicated and there are a lot of fans that can not wrap their head around it. After the rumbling has stopped, only as many people remain outside the wall as there are inside the wall that existed.
As this battle comes to an end, we see that there is a time skip of three years, and Paradis Island has grown in power with its military power. Armin and the others who are deemed heroes of stopping the rubbing are going to meet the military forces of Paradis island for an outcome that might end the human conflict for good.
Hajime Isayama did not see through this end and left what would become of Attack on Titan in the imagination of its viewer. However, there is a new extra volume that is going to be coming out soon which might reveal what Isayama has to say about this. Nevertheless, Eren and his friend’s story has come to an end for good.
But, we also see that there was an end credit scene in Attack On Titan’s Final Episode which showcases what is to become of Paradis Island. From the credit scene, we see that at some point, the conflict between Paradis Island and the outside world did take place eventually and it resulted in the end of Paradis Island if not the whole world.
They added this scene after the credits! 👏🏽#AttackOnTitan#AttackonTitanFinalSeason#進撃の巨人 #ShingekiNoKyojin pic.twitter.com/xuzhS8akMg

However, there are still human remains as one of the children found the familiar-looking tree that Ymir had found with Titan. This hints at a potential new story but it is hard to say if the creators will ever go through it. What is your opinion on it? Comment down below your thoughts.
