In the past year, The Apothecary Diaries has emerged as a significant presence in the entertainment world. Originating as a light novel years ago, this historical drama successfully transitioned to the screen, grabbing audiences with its first season.
Now, with the season finale behind us, all eyes are on the manga adaptation as it continues its story.
However, amidst the anticipation for the manga’s next chapter, fans received unexpected news from the artist behind The Apothecary Diaries.
Nekokurage, also known as Erika Ikeda, took to social media to share a personal revelation about her health. She disclosed that she had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
“I’ve been experiencing severe headaches for a while now, and they’ve worsened recently, prompting me to seek medical attention. During the examination, doctors discovered a brain aneurysm,” she revealed.
“While there’s currently no immediate threat, I’m under observation, hoping for no complications or growth.”
