ARC Raiders is getting its biggest post-launch update so far, with Frozen Trail officially launching on October 8, 2026. The major update will expand the extraction shooter with a new map, additional enemies, a challenging new ARC Operation and several progression changes designed to give players more meaningful long-term goals.

Frozen Trail has been in development since the decision to move toward fewer but larger updates. That approach has allowed the team to concentrate on a broader collection of improvements rather than releasing smaller content drops more frequently.

The update will affect several core parts of ARC Raiders, from exploration and combat to progression and customization. More details are expected to be revealed throughout September.

A New Frozen Map Expands the Rust Belt

The biggest addition is a completely new map located beyond the mountains at the edge of the Rust Belt. Players will be called upon to investigate an unprecedented signal coming from the area, leading them into a frozen settlement that has been abandoned for years.

The location once contained thriving villages, factories, research facilities and an observatory. Its design emphasizes vertical exploration, with Raiders able to encounter dangers both above ground and underground.

The new environment is also being refined following recent user-experience testing. The goal is to create a location that encourages exploration while providing more opportunities for discovery during raids.

Frozen Trail will introduce several new ARC enemies, ranging from smaller threats capable of disrupting a raid to a gigantic machine that can bring a player’s progress to a halt.

A new high-level ARC Operation will also challenge experienced Raiders. The activity is built around cooperation, dynamic encounters and difficult decisions, forcing players to weigh combat, teamwork, risk and survival.

Progression is receiving an equally substantial overhaul. Raiders will gain access to Outposts, allowing them to decorate a new personal space, research aspects of the world and begin taking steps toward reclaiming the surface.

The Skill Tree is also being redesigned to give players greater control over their Raider’s development, while Raider Decks are being adjusted to make them more engaging and rewarding.

Additional weapons, weapon customization options, gadgets, cosmetics and instruments are also planned. Alongside the new content, ongoing work will target matchmaking, anti-cheat, stability and other quality-of-life improvements.

Frozen Trail arrives in ARC Raiders on October 8, 2026, with more information planned for September.
