Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings In Russian Chapter 23 will be the latest installment in the Romance Comedy Drama Manga. The story follows the familiar trope of a girl in love with a boy, but the boy is in love with another. However, there is a twist.
The one, the boy, is in love with is the girl himself. Only he doesn’t realize it. The girl exists in his fading childhood memories. Even though the memories might be fading, the way she made him feel is still alive within him.
Seirie Private Academy is where our protagonist attends school. Our female lead is Ms. Alisa Mihailovna Kujou. She is of Japanese and Russian descent. Suffice it to say she is the most popular girl at the academy.
Be it academics or athletics, she is the best. Our male lead Kuze Masachika is the complete opposite. Even though he is a good student he lacks the motivation to do so. Furthermore, he is a hardcore otaku who spends entire nights watching anime and playing games, only to fall asleep during class the following day.
Alisa is approached by people confessing their love to her on the regular. However, Alisa only has eyes for Kuze. Kuze, on the other hand, is still in love with his first crush, whom he used to spend time with while his parents were going through a nasty divorce.
They used to spend almost every day together till she just stopped one day. Even though he doesn’t remember her face anymore, he hasn’t forgotten how he felt about her.
Alisa, AKA Alya, as Kuze likes to call her, sometimes finds it hard to contain her feelings for Kuze and sometimes blurts things out. But she does so in Russian so that Kuze does not find out. What Alya doesn’t know is that Kuze does understand them all.
His Grandfather loved Russian Movies and used to make Kuze watch them with him. So growing up, Kuze developed an ear for Russian and could understand most of what Alya was saying. That being said he acts as if he can’t understand for both of their sakes.
We have always known that Kuze had a younger sister and that she was in the same school. What we didn’t know was that she was this close to us. Little did we know Suou Yuki was Kuze’s sister.
Yuki does not share the same name as her brother because Kuze’s mother got custody of her after the divorce. Yuki is very much an Otaku like Kuze, but she has to hide her habits from her mother as she does not approve. At the moment they are trying to find a place to have lunch only to realize someone is watching them.

As Yuki and Kuze were discussing how horrible the movie they saw was, Kuze noticed that someone was following them, and it was Alya. Trying to make full use of the situation, Yuki calls out to her and asks her to accompany them to lunch.
She takes her to a noodle shop called “The Super Spicy Hell’s Cauldron Delicious Noodles.” As the name suggests, they serve extremely spicy food. Alya is trying her best to seem not bothered.
Yuki orders the spiciest dish on their menu “The Blood Pond Hell”. Alya is visibly distressed, but she digs in anyways. After eating just one bite, she started sweating, her eyes started watering, and she was coughing uncontrollably.
Kuze tries to tell her that she does not have to go through with it but she insists on finishing the whole thing and she did. Every last drop of it. Kuze found Alya on a bench outside and praised her for completing the dish.
He asked her if she wanted some ice cream, and she got a huge bowl with multiple flavored scoops. If it was not obvious enough, Alya doesn’t enjoy spicy food. She has a sweet tooth through and through. But she works very hard to seem perfect. Kuze thinks that she is the exact opposite of himself.
Kuze remembered her asking him to join the Student Council and asked her why she wanted to become the Student Council President.
