Ayla asserted that she understood Kazu better but Yuki said otherwise and thus the fight between the two began. Meanwhile, Kazu is on the sidelines watching the fight unfold and can’t do anything to stop the two fight each other.
The fight began with one of the student council members wanting to bring Kazu into the team. Kazu was reluctant to join but it was not his opinion that was being asked, but the other members of the council. Them being Ayla and Yuki who have come with the other two to the cafe.
Ayla was going to say Kazu is worthy of being part of the student council until she saw Yuki having fun poking at him. Ayla blurted out that Kazu was an irresponsible guy but Yuki said otherwise and insisted she understood Kazu better than anyone. This infuriated Ayla because she believed she is closer to Kazu after a year but Yuki was ruthless in her replies.

He had an incident in middle school that changed his outlook on how to do things to the point he stopped being an honor student. He no longer cares about studies and is content by doing the bare minimum.
This led to him no longer wanting to stand out in the crowd or be part of the student council anymore. However, the members of the student council think very highly of him as they have worked with him before and want him back for his capabilities. But no matter how they push Kazu never gives in and becomes part of the Student Council again.
