Yona will be having a word with the gods for the decree laid down a thousand years ago in Akatsuki no Yona Chapter 261. The female lead decided that she has had enough of how things have been in the past. Now it is causing her her relationships with those dear to her, she will not let the gods ruin the bonds she has.
Things had been pretty dismal in the last few chapters as Hak had gone berserk and lost all his reason. Drenched in blood, and with a pale face, he attacks Yona and injures Zeno who is unable to move. Yona is left with no choice but to cross swords with her guardian or Zeno will lose his life.
Hak gave no reason for his actions and kept charging at Zeno, with the threat of killing Yona later. When Yona was forced to go to the offensive, Hak dropped his guard and let Yona cut him, causing him to bleed. It was then that Yona started to realize that there was something wrong with Hak, he shouldn’t bleed like that due to his regenerative abilities.
Hak explains why he had been acting the way he had been and just wants peace. The guardian had lived on for a thousand years and had finally found the clue to end his immortality. And the key to ending it is to have someone from the Red Dragon tribe cut him, leaving wounds that won’t heal easily.
