One of the greatest professional wrestlers in the business, AJ Styles leaves a lasting impact outside of the WWE. Styles has spent more than eight years in the WWE and more than 25 years in professional wrestling.
With two WWE titles, three US titles, an Intercontinental Championship, and a Tag Team Championship, the 46-year-old has won seven championships in the organization. He is the company’s fifteenth Grand Slam champion and thirty-second Triple Crown champion.
But he spends a very long period out of the championship limelight. In a recent interview, Styles expressed his wish to complete a significant task prior to retiring.
AJ Styles wants the WWE Championship
The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, recently discussed his wish to win the WWE Championship one more time before retiring in an interview with Johnjay & Rich on AfterWords. AJ Styles stated:
“Before I give up, I need that championship one more time.” AJ Styles never had his sights set on the world championship; he last held the WWE Championship in 2018. After that, Styles spent a few days trapped in the mid-card and tag team alliance.
Styles attempted to win the World Heavyweight Championship last year, and at Royal Rumble earlier this year, he attempted to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but his attempt was unsuccessful.
Styles’s persona as a heel has significantly changed. His elimination chamber berth for the world title was ruined by LA Knight, with whom he is now locked in a fixed feud. Now that he’s moved on from The O.C., he goes out by himself and is much more disruptive.
Styles hasn’t won the world championship in such a long time. Is it possible for Styles to reappear in the spotlight for the World Championship? Share your opinions.
