1. Karina
Yu Ji Min, more popularly known by her stage name Karina is the leader of the aespa members. Furthermore, Karina is the main dancer, visual, and center of the group. Karina was born on the 11th of April in 2000 in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea. She was among the aespa members who were popular even before becoming a part of the group. Karina had featured in fellow SM Entertainment artist Taemin’s music video ‘Want’. Karina also used to be an ulzzang which means good-looking. She further performed with him at various suitcases. Adding to her many qualifications, Karina also has a blackbelt in Taekwando.
2. Giselle
Uchinaga Aeri is best known by her stage name Giselle. Additionally, Giselle is the main rapper in aespa. And unlike her elegant stage name, her rap is fierce. Moreover, Giselle is part Japanese and part Korean. Her dad’s side of the family is Japanese. Giselle trained for only eleven months before debuting as an aespa member. She is fluent in English, Japanese, and Korean. When fans found out that Giselle’s yearbook quote is ‘That’s Hot,’ they could not help but laugh. She is just one cm taller than fellow aespa member Karina.
3. Winter
Kim Min Jeong is Winter’s real name. She is considered to be the most popular aespa member after she went viral for their Coachella performance. Winter was born in Busan on the 1st of January in 2001. Additionally, she is the lead vocalist, lead dancer, and visual of the group. Winter earlier aimed at becoming an actress however she became more passionate about singing and dancing and decided to become an idol. Winter has a sweet tooth and loves to eat chocolate and other sweet stuff. The aespa members have revealed that Winter drinks a lot of milk. Fans love Winter for her bubbly personality.
4. Ningning
Ning Yizhuo is more popularly known by her stage name Ningning. Furthermore, Ningning is the only aespa member who is not ethically Korean. She was born on the 23rd of October in 2002 in Harbin, China. Ningning is the main vocalist and maknae of the group. Ningning trained for four years at SM Entertainment before debuting. She dreamt of becoming a painter when she was a kid. Ningning gained a lot of attention for her husky voice. She is an NCT fan. Apart from having a unique voice, Ningning is also amazing at playing the piano. She has also appeared in multiple tv shows in China.
