Kim Ha Neul has discussed her forthcoming drama “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar” (literal translation). Derived from a popular web novel, “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar” is a thrilling drama depicting the collaboration between an investigative reporter and an ace detective as they delve into a string of murder cases.
Kim Ha Neul portrays the character of reporter Seo Jung Won, who doubles as the host of the current affairs television show “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar.”
Known for her distinctive and direct approach to uncovering various wrongdoings committed by perpetrators, accompanied by her sarcastic commentary, Seo Jung Won earns significant popularity and captures the public’s interest.
From her marriage to second-generation chaebol novelist Seol Woo Jae (Jang Seung Jo) to the triumph of her program, Seo Jung Won enjoys a seemingly flawless life, flourishing in both her career and love.
However, when she becomes an eyewitness to a murder, her life is abruptly thrust into chaos, leading to a reunion with her former lover, Detective Kim Tae Heon (Yeon Woo Jin).
Kim Ha Neul explained her decision to join “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar,” stating, “The story unraveled in a captivating manner. The script was compelling, with a well-built narrative that left me intrigued for the next episode.”
Kim Ha Neul disclosed her preparation process for the role of Seo Jung Won, stating, “As a reporter, I believed that the character’s demeanor and presence should vary depending on whether she’s investigating a story, hosting a program, or simply living her daily life. Therefore, I conducted extensive research to ensure I accurately portrayed this aspect. Furthermore, I endeavored to depict the shifts in the character’s presence through costume choices and styling.”
Kim Ha Neul commended her co-stars in “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar,” saying, “Each actor is fully immersed in their roles. There’s a mutual influence among us, fostering a positive atmosphere and determination on set. I’m certain that we’ll maintain a high level of synergy and harmony throughout the remaining shoots. “Let’s Get Grabbed by the Collar” is set to premiere in March.
