The show’s followers are waiting for yet another episode to air and have already planned to binge it. This post will explore the Act Your Age episodes 1 and 2 release dates and streaming guide. The new comedy series, featuring Tisha Campbell and Kym Whitley, centers on three women attempting to adjust to living in their fifties. The show’s creator is Alyson Fouse, and special guest celeb Yvette Nicole Brown appears.
The cable network Bounce has ordered sixteen half-hour episodes. Black American viewers’ favorite broadcast and multi-platform entertainment channel Bounce today revealed a collaboration with MGM to create a brand-new original series called “Act Your Age.”
What is the show about?
The multi-camera, half-hour comedy follows three dynamic, accomplished DMV area women in their 50s who are each at a crossroads in their lives and decide that their best course of action is to move forward together. In “Act Your Age,” Kym Whitley and Tisha Campbell (from “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Young and Hungry,” and “Dr. Ken,” respectively) are joined by special guest celebrity Yvette Nicole Brown (from “Community,” “Big Shot,” and “Community,” respectively).
The series was developed by Alyson Fouse, who also produced “Big Shot,” “Everyone Hates Chris,” and “The Wanda Sykes Show.” She also acts as a showrunner as well as an executive producer. The show’s producers are Bradley Gardner, Barry Poznick, Ken Ornstein (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), and Mark Burnett (“Hot in Cleveland”).
Whitley plays Bernadette, a wise and accomplished real estate entrepreneur. Keisha, the group’s unpredictable wild card, who is constantly up to no good, is played by Campbell. And Brown plays Angela, the previous First Lady of Norfolk, Virginia, who’s trying to rebuild her life after losing her beloved professional politician husband to widowhood.
When did the show begin filming?
Act Your Age’s 16-episode debut season, which will air on Bounce at the date revealed later in the post, has started filming in Los Angeles. The show’s creator, showrunner, and executive producer are Alyson Fouse (“The Neighborhood,” “Everyone Hates Chris,” as well as “The Wanda Sykes Show”).
What does the cast say about the show?
It means a lot to me to have the chance to perform “Act Your Age” alongside Kym, Tisha, and Yvette on Bounce, a channel that has allowed me to be so at ease being myself, said Fouse. “Act Your Age” commemorates the black women who have adored, raised, made friends with, and held me up throughout the years, honoring and applauding those who have motivated me.
We’ve built a globe where the tales of Black women in the prime of life are funny and heartfelt, a world in which they independently shine and express solidarity for one another. Bounce originals have made great strides thanks to their collaboration with MGM Television, their work with renowned writer Alyson Fouse, and their success in securing the talents of stars like Kym Whitley, Tisha Campbell, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
“Act Your Age” is a game-changer for the channel and complements our other new shows, “Johnson” and “Finding Happiness,” according to David Hudson, vice chairman of new shows at Scripps Networks.

Moreover, the multi-generational comedy stars Mariah Robinson (who featured in “The Wrong Valentine”) and Nathan Anderson (who starred in “All About the Washingtons” and “Richie Rich”) as they portray Angela and Bernadette’s various 20-something offspring.
The latest Bounce original show is “Act Your Age,” following “Finding Happiness,” featuring B. Simone as a mid-30s lady seeking to improve her life, and “Johnson,” the highly acclaimed popular drama centering on four lifelong best friends. The production company behind both programs is A Bird & A Bear Entertainment, run by Eric C. Rhone and Cedric the Entertainer.
