SBS k-drama ‘A Business Proposal’ is one of the most popular k-dramas of the year 2022. From a beautiful cast to the love story we all love to dream about, the k-drama has it all. Based on the webtoon named “The Office Blind Date” written by Hae Hwa, the k-drama maintained its no.1 rating throughout its premiere. While the majority of the k-drama fans have watched the k-drama, there are still some left with some questions. Here’s ‘A Business Proposal’ review for those fans who still haven’t watched it. And are still just going through the steamy and funny edits on social media.
‘A Business Proposal’ stars some of our favorite people in the show. We have I.O.I and Gugudan’s Kim Se Jong, ‘Lovers of The Red Sky’ fame Ahn Hyo Seop, ‘So I Married an Anti-Fan’ fame Kim Min Gue, and ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ fame Seol In Ah as the main leads. The k-drama also has our favorite grandpa Lee Deok Hwa who becomes the very reason behind our dream relationship. Starting off from a contract relationship, the two leads who were not supposed to fall for each other, *drum rolls* fall in love with each other deeper than the Mariana trench.
What Is The Story of ‘A Business Proposal’?
‘A Business Proposal’ follows Shin Ha Ri, a single woman working all her life to pay off her family’s debts and trying live a normal life. For years she has had a crush on her guy best friend. But has never told him because he already had a girlfriend. Ha Ri’s best friend, on the other hand, is a chaebol and is tired of going on blind dates. One night, after all the begging, Ha Ri ends up going to the place of her best friend. And the date turns out to be Kim Tae Moo, who is the CEO of the company Shin Ha Ri works at. Playing the double role, Shin Ha Ri tries to save her life from her boss. Tae Moo, on the other hand, orders her to play his fake girlfriend for the sake of his grandfather.
No matter how sorted Kim Tae Moo looks, things are far from simple in his life. The productive guy who is busy with meetings every day is just running from his feelings and loneliness. But being with Shin Ha Ri makes him feel alive. But boom, he ends up doing the same thing he asked Ha Ri to do, i.e., acting as her boyfriend in front of her friends. And that’s where the magic begins. And a little bit of truth comes out as well.
‘A Business Proposal’ Review: Is The Romantic Comedy Worth The Watch?
To be honest, ‘A Business Proposal’ is a full-on romantic cliche but in a good way. The only con of the k-drama is the ending and that it was a little too short. The k-drama has already made its way into the list of the classic k-dramas list. The whole ‘not supposed to fall in love too now madly in love’ troupe has worked so well for Kim Tae Moo and Shin Ha Ri. Kim Se Jong has done an amazing job playing the soft girlfriend. Kim Min Gue and Seol In Ha’s romance steal the show as whenever they are on the screen, it is hard to focus anywhere else.
The adults, from Shin Ha Ri’s parents to Kim Tae Moo’s grandfather, hit so close to reality in terms of always asking their kids to get married or not letting them be on their own even when they are adults. The k-drama takes you back to the good times and makes you wish to run into a CEO on your way to the office. In the end, ‘A Business Proposal’ is a must-watch and even a rewatch cause it can make your mood change in minutes with all the romance, bromance, and sisterhood it has got.
