Miss Scarlet and The Duke Season 3 Episode 1 release date is quite soon. The series throws light on a period drama series that involved investigation and crime. In the lead, we happen to see two detectives from the Victorian era. The show starts with the death of Henry, the father of Eliza Scarlet. After his demise, the daughter is practically penniless and has to support herself.
As society is putting pressure on her to marry in order to do away with all the debts of her father and provide financial security for her future, the option does not appeal to Eliza at all. Instead, she decides to reopen her father’s detective agency all on her own and make her own name in the detective market.
Although, in her first case itself, she lands herself in trouble and has to seek help from an old friend named William Wellington, also known as The Duke. He is a Detective in Scotland Yard and has a reputable image in front of other men of society. Obviously, the industry is dominated by male detectives only and thus it is getting really hard for Eliza to make a name for herself thus, the Duke and her merge their forces, but not officially though.
William was mentored by Henry Scarlet, the father of Eliza and thus, feels a duty toward her. It was because of Henry that William was able to build her career. The series is a fun little distraction with the characters’ own lives in the middle of the crime in the city. But well, it provides us with enough drama to take up the remote and watch the entire season till the end.
Miss Scarlet and The Duke Season 2 Recap
Back in Miss Scarlet and The Duke Season 2, we saw that Duke is being provided with a promotion within the police force and will be made a chief inspector. This upcoming appraisal of his job will also mean that he will have to relocate from his home and move to Glasgow. Later, we saw that Eliza is working on a new case. After reading much into the crime scene, she renders that these murders were inspired by the plot of a crime novel.
In the last episode of the season titled The Proposal, we saw that Nash is brutally injured. Someone tried to murder him, and thus, the man hires Eliza. Her task is to find the person who is responsible for this crime. As for Duke, he really does not want to accept the new position and move to Glasgow but is being forced to.
We see that before he leaves for the town, he is tasked with training Oliver Fitzroy. The kid is the son of the commissioner and is going to replace him in the office. At the same time, we see that Eliza and he are on a rocky road in their relationship with him moving away. It would be interesting to see how the two will decide to move forward in the next season with his huge change or if will it even happen or not.
