Excited about Alert Episode 1? The upcoming police drama Alert will cover missing person cases. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit, or LAMPU, will be showcased in this television series.
Nikki Parker, a police officer, serves as the protagonist of the investigation. After her son went missing, s he became part of the department’s Missing Persons Unit so she could help others in finding their loved ones while continuing to look for her son.
After all, Nikki is the one person who can relate to the families. The case may finally be solved six years later when her ex-husband Devon appears with a photo acting as confirmation of her son’s existence. But is that truly their son, or is that just a lie?
Alert Plot
Nikki Batista, played by Ramirez, is the main character. Her son disappeared with no trace six years ago. Many believe he is dead. After all, isn’t that how every story ends? Nikki doesn’t want to see other parents feel the same way she does. As a result, the police officer is transferred to the Missing Person Unit, where she collaborates with her ex-husband Jason Grant.
That won’t be simple, especially because the two still wish to find their son. Nikki will do all it takes to find the answers she needs when they get some possible evidence of the boy’s existence. The show will have a case-of-the-week format, which lists missing individuals in each episode, and The MPU will make every effort to find the missing individuals before it’s too late.
Alert Cast
If you’re wondering who will be in the show, we already have a primary cast list. Nikki Batista and Jason Grant, a divorced couple, are being played by Dania Ramirez and Scott Caan. Along with the primary cast, three additional actors—Adeola Role, Ryan Broussard, and Graham Verchere—have also been revealed.
These actors have already appeared in so many fantastic shows. It will be interesting to see Scott Caan in yet another role like this because he most notably played Danny Williams in the cast of Hawaii Five-0, another procedural.
In addition to appearing in Heroes and Entourage, Dania Ramirez once played a character on The Sopranos. She was also a cast member of Lifetime’s Devious Maids, which was eventually canceled.
Ryan Broussard is most known for his work on the Hulu original show Only Murders in the Building, but he has also appeared as a guest star on numerous other series like Modern Love, Blue Bloods, Black Bird, and others.
Adeola Role has also appeared as a guest star on a number of shows, including Pose, Cuff, The Blacklist, and the Ryan Murphy-produced Blue Bloods. Graham Verchere has appeared in episodes of Supergirl and Two Sentence Horror Stories, but he is best known for his role as Young Shaun on The Good Doctor.
Alert Episode 1 Release Date & Preview
Alert Episode 1 will release on 8 January 2023 on FOX. This episode is titled “Chloe.” At the time of writing, four episodes are scheduled for this season. This means there will be only four episodes after this week’s episode.
The Synopsis of Episode 1 is as follows: “The MPU is looking into the kidnapping of a small child, who was probably taken as revenge for her father’s job.” With so many amazing shows slated to debut within the first few weeks of 2023, from AMC’s brand-new Anne Rice adaption, Mayfair Witches, to HBO’s eagerly awaited The Last Of Us series.
The year’s beginning looks promising for our 2023 TV premiere calendar. Alert will release between those two premieres, and I have a feeling that it will be a fun watch from start to finish.
