The official trailer for the upcoming Korean movie Jung E, along with a release date, has been released by Netflix. Yeon Sang-Ho is the director of the forthcoming sci-fi thriller movie, which is his first official Netflix movie.
Sang Ho is most recognized for his directing roles in the films Peninsula and Train to Busan. Kim Hyun-Joo plays Jung-E, Kang Soo-Youn plays Seo-Hyeon, and Ryu Kyung-soo plays Sang-hun in the movie.
The movie is set in the 22nd Century when global warming left the Earth uninhabitable and forced humans to live in artificial structures. An internal conflict breaks out, and how it plays out depends on the effectiveness of the renowned robot mercenary’s brain-cloning tech.
Director Yeon Sang-ho has reimagined the future of Korean cinema with works like Peninsula, Train to Busan, and Hellbound. In this movie, he focuses on the fundamental ideas of brain cloning as well as human-like mercenary robots.
Jung_E Release Date
Netflix had already included Jung E on their list of movies to release in 2022. However, the plan was adjusted, and Jung E was postponed until 2023. The release of Jung E in January 2023 was just announced. However, no specific date was given. However, now that movie’s official trailer has been released, we can formally confirm that Netflix will begin streaming Jung E on Friday, January 20th, 2023.
Jung E’s filming started on October 31st, 2021, and it continued for a few months before coming to a finish on January 28th, 2022. Additionally, we should mention rumors that a “The Gray” sequel show starring Goo Kyo Hwan is in the works.
In Jung_E, people lived in artificial constructions on Earth in the 22nd Century when it became uninhabitable due to climate change. When a civil war breaks out, how it will end will depend on how successfully the brain cloning technology created by legendary robot mercenary Jung-E performs.
The leading general in charge of the allied forces was Jung Yi. She takes part in a mind-cloning test. The solution to the problem could be found in cloning research. Sang Hoon and Seo Hyun must accept responsibility for the results of the mind-cloning test. The lab’s director, Seo Hyun, is in charge of researching artificial intelligence and mind cloning.
Jung_E Trailer And What To Expect
Before it focuses on scenes of the brain cloning operation and creates what the trailer refers to as an “AI fighting warrior,” the new trailer for JUNG E gives us our first look at the high-tech environment of the 22nd Century.
Then the trailer ends just before the robot’s eyes open after the artificial brain has been implanted into it. The majority of the current AI concerns surround chatbots and arts, but in the future of Jung E, things get a little more serious.
In Jung E’s trailer, a company by the name of Kronoid Lab introduces what it calls the “most powerful AI combat warrior.” Although it is only a short trailer, it is evident that things won’t go according to plan, even though we don’t actually get to witness it in action.
The movie has a lot going for it: it’s a creative new sci-fi film from director Yeon Sang-ho; it explores the novel idea of the mind cloning a “legendary killer” set in the 22nd Century; it stars the legendary actor Kang Soo-youn; Ryu Kyung-soo and Kim Hyun-Joo play pivotal roles, and it’s jam-packed with stunning and realistic action.
Jung_E Cast
Kang Soo Yeon will play Seo Hyun, the main character. She is the team head for a research center that creates artificial intelligence and brain cloning tech, and she is in command of Jung E’s brain clone and fight power test.
Sadly, JUNG E is her final on-screen appearance before she tragically passed away on May 7th, 2022, as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage. Kim Hyun Joo will portray Jung Yi, a former leader of the Allied Forces who has become the subject of the brain cloning experiment.
The actress can be seen in the recent drama “Trolley.” Ryu Kyung Soo will be playing Sang Hoon, the leader of a research center who needs to be successful in a project that involves brain cloning. His performances in Glitch, Itaewon Class, and Hellbound made him a very well-known actor.
