João Félix or also known as João Félix Sequeira is a Portuguese professional footballer, born on November 10th, 1999 (Aged 23). He plays as a forward for Atletico Madrid in the La Liga league. He also plays as a forward footballer for the Portugal National Team. He has been known for also playing as a winger and an attacking midfielder other than playing as a forward.
He started his training at the Porto Youth ranks and later on transferred to his rival club, Benfica and played for their reserve team in the year 2015. His professional debut took place at the age of 17 when he was promoted to the first team in the year 2018 and was also awarded the Primeira Liga’s Best Young Player of the Year and also was honoured with the Golden Boy award.

He was also shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or which is an annual football award to appreciate the contribution and the playing track of footballers. He finished third in line for another award presented by France Football which is Kopa TrKophy in 2019.
He has represented his country at under-18, under-19, under 21 and now playing in the national senior team. In October 2022, for the FIFA World Cup which is being held in Qatar, he was named under the 55 preliminary-man squad for Portugal and later proceeded in being in the final 26 man-squad for the country. In the match against Ghana held on November 25th, 2022 Felix scored his first-ever World cup goal for Portugal. Portugal won against Ghana by 3-2 group stage.
In round 16, in the match held between Switzerland and Portugal on December 6th, he provided an assist in two of the goals. Portugal won the match by a score of 6-1.

His versatility in the game offers him a wide spectrum of positions to play as striker, second striker and winger. Primarily he has taken the position of attacking midfielder.
