At first, Squad Zero was like they did not want anything to do with the Soul Society as their main job was to protect the Royal Palace. However, now they have taken in the main characters of the series for some reason after scolding Soi Fon a little (I loved that scene) and possibly finding a way to modify Ichigo’s Zanpakto.
Before the Quincies come back to the Soul Society to take away Ichigo, who is a “Quincy Born In the Dark,” we have some recovering to do and, yes, the obvious training to gain the power-ups, typical shonen style.
