Eleceed Chapter 220 could lead to a big showdown as Frame had made an appearance and is planning to meet Kaiden. Frame the awakener has been behind a lot of trouble for the academy these past few chapters. It was due to his involvement that one of the students of the academy betrayed the institutions to get his power.
The betrayer in question is Duke, one of the top 10 awakeners at the academy. His betrayal made everyone’s head role, and due to his actions, everyone is unsure as to what to do next. But in those few chapters, we also saw how big the world of Awakeners is and the impact Kaiden has on it. It all comes back to Kaiden and the influence he had on this side of the world.

Eleceed Chapter 219 focused on the aftermath of Duke’s betrayal and the effect it has on the whole wide world of awakeners. The big families have started to question the authenticity of the academy and are worried for a plethora of reasons. One of the reasons was being betrayed by one of their kids, like the case with the Duke and his family.
However, his family will not be changing their stance on the matter as they are likely to disown Duke at one point in the story in the near future. We see one of the characters belonging to an influential Awakener going through something similar. He had been called back home immediately the day after the events with Duke’s betrayal. It has gone so bad that he is being distrusted by them on no grounds.
He found little solace in his predicament when Jiwoo reached him and asked for his number on a notepad. ( Academy does not allow phones in the school). Kaiden too talks about the power imbalance that has been created due to the betrayal by Duke in the recent chapters.
When Jiwoo asks why someone would betray their family and friends just for power Kaiden assures him he is in the right, but it is the world around them that is in the wrong. This is quite a contrast compared to how he was in the beginning. He used to be something similar himself until he got an injury and met Jiwoo. The last chapter continues to prove Jiwoo is the emotional backbone of the story.
