The eccentric but loving family, The Goldbergs, will be returning in a new episode of the show this week. Starring Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, the show revolves around him and his family’s lives, with Beverly Goldberg, his mom, Sister Erica, and brother Barry. The role of his father was removed in the new season, and the storyline had to be changed.
The show was first seen on television on September 24th, 2013. Its retro theme, along with the perspective of young Adam, resonated well with many people, and this ended up garnering the show about 6 million views for its first season. Since then, The Goldbergs has been renewed each year, and recently in September this year, the 10th season started airing.
Despite the controversies happening within the cast, the show never fails to deliver wholesome and comedic family content. Knowing and watching real clips from Adam F. Goldberg’s life at the end adds a nostalgic touch to the show. It now has a total of more than 200 episodes and is sure to stay around for a while due to the immense love and appreciation the show has from fans all over the world.
The Goldbergs: A Quick Review
Each family is different and special, but no family is like The Goldbergs. Every single member has a unique yet entertaining personality. Murray, the father, had a strict yet caring way of raising his kids. Though their mom loves them so much that they feel suffocated at times, she has good intentions at heart.
Adam’s brother, Barry, is the strange one, with a need to be dominating and have the upper hand at all times. Erica is a charming and sensible sister. She also plays musical instruments well and scores better grades than the other two siblings. Grandpa Pops, played by George Segal, was someone Adam considered his best friend in real life as well.
Due to the Tragic passing away of George Segal before season 9 started airing, the show’s producers decided not to recast and just incorporate his death in the series with a short tribute in the 9th season. In Adam’s real life, his maternal grandfather passed away when he was in college, so that aspect of the storyline had to undergo a few modifications.
Many workers on the set had accused Jeff Garlin, the actor who plays the role of Murray (the father), of inappropriate behavior and use of bad language. This caused the writer to cut off his character from the storyline. At the beginning of the newest season, season 10, The characters talk about their father being dead for months, and the show proceeds with the rest of the characters only.
The Goldbergs Season 10 Episode 4: Recap
The previous episode that was aired on October 12th, 2022, was titled “Man Of The House.” Erica worked hard and finally got to graduate earlier, as she wanted it to be over before her due date. Feeling happy and triumphant, she gets home only to find that everyone is more interested in her baby rather than her.
Her mom’s friends come over and throw a baby shower for the third time, coupled with a “Diaper cake” made of diapers and napkins. Feeling unappreciated, she talks to her mother-in-law, who tells her that people just see pregnant women as buckets and no one was aware that she was a senator twice.
Beverly then takes Erica and her husband to a workshop that deals with everything related to caring for a newborn. This just makes Erica more frustrated, and she expresses her feelings of alienation when they get back home.

While this is happening, Adam and Barry fight for the role of being the man of the house. Barry starts being overprotective of Adam, and this causes him to freak out a bit. He asks David Hasselhoff (The most-watched man on TV) to talk to his brother.
Now that Beverly knows about her daughter’s graduation, she feels guilty for not appreciating her and turns the baby shower into a graduation party for Erica. Since David Hasselhoff was already there, he gave an inspiring speech on occasion.
The Goldbergs Season 10 Episode 5: Release Date
The Next episode of The Goldbergs will air this Wednesday, October 19th, 2022. The episode is titled “Uncle-ing” and will involve both the to-be uncles getting some lessons for their future niece/nephew. Erica will be going on a Babymoon vacation to deal with the anxiety of giving birth soon.
