The show will have another trick up its sleeve in My Master Has No Tail Episode 3. The two episodes we have had so far established the relationship between the master and the student. But the focus of this show is much light and focus on a hero’s journey format that shows us how a Tanuki will grow up to trick humans whom she despises. Tanuki’s teacher is most likely to be a nine Tailed fox and she seems to have full control over herself. Unlike Tanuki, when she transforms she has no tail or ears on her. This would be one of the secrets Tanuki must learn as the show goes on.

My Master Has No Tail Episode 3 will expand on the cast of characters as we get to learn more about the world of Rakugo. Looking at the Manga, Tanuki will learn two important lessons that will display her change of character. The first is her detest for human food; she grew up in the forest and isn’t accustomed to human cuisine so her demands will be something we humans aren’t accustomed. But by the end of the episode, she will develop a taste for pickles, and perhaps a craving.
The other lesson she learns is about Rakugo which would show her that she knows next to nothing about the art. A point her master makes often. It will be another sequence of her being amazed by Rakugo and how deeper it was when she first looked at it. And since it is an art-related show, there is bound to be a rival. Though Tanuki wouldn’t realize it any soon.

What is My Master Has No Tail about?
The age of Yokai is coming to an end as humans have entered the industrial revolution and discovered the mysteries of the world. Many of the yokai have accepted and moved on but not all are ready to accept it. Such is our Tanuki who wants to continue tricking humans despite the age and warning from her elders. But she soon learns why she was warned against it as her pranks catch up to her and the people she has tricked are out to get her. On the verge of giving up, she met a fox lady who wears the face of humans and makes a living out of tricking them through Rakugo.
Inspired by her craftsmanship, her spirit of trickery is ablaze once again and now she will do anything to become fox’s apprentice to become a Rakugo herself.
